APRIL DAY TOURS
OMSI presents: Da Vinci THE GENIUS
Day Tour - Tuesday, April 7, 2009
Approximate Time 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Be amazed at OMSI’s new featured exhibit, Da Vinci: The Genius. OMSI brings to life Leonardo da Vinci’s amazing contributions to both the worlds of art and science. For the last 30 years of his life, da Vinci spent most of his time doing research in fields ranging from astronomy to anatomy, zoology to geology, and botany to paleontology. The exhibit features full-scale reproductions of da Vinci’s inventions, including the glider, parachute, and helicopter; three-dimensional plasma reproductions of The Last Supper, The Vitruvian Man, and other artistic masterpieces; and startling revelations about the Mona Lisa and how she looked as originally painted. The exhibit also features many benches to sit on while watching the numerous and very informative video displays!
But first, we will have a delicious four-course luncheon at the Oregon Culinary Institute. Included:
- Motorcoach transportation from Capital Manor; Salemtowne; K-Mart, north side of parking lot - 2470 Mission St. Salem; Fred Meyer, Broadway St. Keizer; and Woodburn Best Western
- Four-course plated luncheon at the Oregon Culinary Institute
- Admission to OMSI’s Da Vinci: The Genius and other exhibits
- Cost $50 per person
Signing up will hold space and full payment due March 6, 2009. Deadline for cancellation and full refund is 4:00 p.m. March 6, 2009. Come enjoy this vintage train in Hood River and experience the nostalgia of classic American passenger train service.
