Rickreall Christmas Pageant
A tradition in Rickreall since 1938! The pageant consists of nine scenes relating to the nativity with a reader narrating. All dialogue used is from the Bible (King James Version).
A cast, chorus and crew of around 150 people work together every year on this tiny community’s gift to those who come to watch. Lovingly prepared and presented, props, costumes and music remain true to those first used in 1938. There has never been a charge for this play, “Rickreall’s contribution to the Christmas season commemoration of Him who gave so freely of Himself.” Donations are gladly excepted, which I have made on behalf of our group.
We’re going to try it again this year and hopefully we won’t get the ice we had last year! I’ve had to increase the price to reflect the change in dinner venue so as to include a heartier winter meal.
Included:
- Motorcoach transportation from Capital Manor; Salemtowne and K-Mart - Mission St. Salem
- Dinner at J. Bella’s Italian Ristuarante, Independence
- Donation to the Rickreall Christmas Pageant
- Cost $50 per person
- Limited to 20 guests
Signing up will hold space and full payment due November 18, 2010. Deadline for cancellation and full refund is 4:00 p.m. November 18, 2010. Tour payment will be refunded only if you cancel prior to this date. If the 15 person minimum requirement for this tour is not met and the tour is canceled your money will be refunded in full. Portland’s joyous salute to the holidays is now celebrating its 12th year! The Northwest Community Gospel Choir – a gifted, multicultural group of all ages – includes singers and musicians from the Gospel Music Workshop of America, churches and various other music ministries in Portland and surrounding cities.
Join us for this moving, inspiring, uplifting and exciting celebration of the season.
