New Orleans - Holiday Enchantment

This year’s Holiday trip will be to the enchanting city of New Orleans! Here we will stay three nights at the Inn on Bourbon, a beautiful hotel located , yes, right on Bourbon Street, in the French Quarter, the heart of New Orleans. The French Quarter has it all - shops galore, music and food. New Orleans is an epicurean mecca - you will be able to savor the exquisite food and enjoy the sights and sound of this vibrant city. One of our dinners will include Opera singers for our entertainment! Other activities will include a city tour and seeing what has been accomplished after Katrina; a luncheon cruise on the mighty Mississippi onboard the Steamboat Natchez; a visit to a WWII museum with a fabulous 4-D movie “Beyond All Boundaries” by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg plus be entertained by the fabulous Victory Belles Holiday Show and luncheon; and let’s not forget a visit to the holiday lights extravaganza this city has to offer!

When we leave the city we enter the world of plantation life. We will visit three plantations - Oak Alley with its magnificent oak lined walkway, Houmas House with its formal gardens, and the beautiful Greek Revival and Italianate Nottoway Plantation - the largest remaining antebellum home in the south were you will be their guest for one night. We will enjoy a tour, dinner and breakfast here before heading back home.
